Terms of Service
Last updated: August 8, 2026
1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing or using WalkHero, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
WalkHero is an iOS walking and general-wellness app. With your permission, it reads relevant Apple Health data to display steps, distance, active calories and progress. It can also record walks you deliberately start, including route and session information, and provide goals, summaries, awards and widgets.
3. Wellness disclaimer
WalkHero is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Health and activity information can be incomplete or inaccurate. Choose goals appropriate for your circumstances and consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program when appropriate. WalkHero does not guarantee any health, fitness or weight-related outcome.
4. Permissions and your device
Some features require Apple Health, motion or location permissions. You decide whether to grant those permissions and can change them through iOS settings. Disabling a permission may make the related feature unavailable.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
WalkHero may offer subscriptions or other in-app purchases. Available products, prices, billing periods, trials and renewal terms are displayed in the App Store purchase flow before confirmation. Purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat.
- Recurring subscriptions renew unless cancelled before the renewal date shown by Apple.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Refund requests are handled under Apple’s applicable policies.
- Restoring purchases requires the Apple ID associated with the original purchase.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse WalkHero, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass purchase controls, reverse engineer protected portions of the service except where law permits, or use the app in violation of applicable law.
7. Third-party services
WalkHero relies on Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, Singular and other platform infrastructure. Their services may be governed by separate terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes to services outside our control.
8. Intellectual property
WalkHero’s software, design, branding and original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
9. Availability and changes
We may improve, change, suspend or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device or the permanent availability of a particular feature.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WalkHero and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law rights.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version and effective date will be published here. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable Australian law may hear disputes arising from these Terms.
