Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how WalkHero (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use the WalkHero iOS application and this website. WalkHero is a walking app that displays permitted Apple Health data, records walks you deliberately start, and provides progress, widget and subscription features.

Information handled by the app

• Apple Health data: with your permission, WalkHero reads relevant categories including steps, walking or running distance, active energy, exercise minutes and floors climbed. Health data is read on your device for WalkHero’s progress views and is not sent to our servers.
• Recorded walks and location: when you deliberately start a recorded walk, WalkHero uses location access to create the route and session details. Recorded walk history is stored locally on your device.
• Goals and app preferences: your walking goal, onboarding choices, widget settings and related app state are stored locally on your device.
• Product analytics and diagnostics: WalkHero uses PostHog to understand product interactions and diagnose errors. Analytics events are designed not to include Health values, recorded routes or precise location.
• Advertising attribution: WalkHero uses Singular to measure installs, campaigns and subscription events. Device or advertising identifiers may be processed where permitted. On iOS, tracking permission is controlled through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt and device settings.
• Purchases: RevenueCat processes subscription status, purchase receipts and entitlement information. Payments are processed by Apple’s App Store; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
• Support: if you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message so we can respond.

How we use information

We use the information described above to provide WalkHero, show your progress, record walks you request, manage purchases, improve reliability, understand feature use, measure advertising and provide support.

Health data

WalkHero does not use Apple Health data for advertising or tracking. We do not sell Health data. You can review or revoke WalkHero’s Apple Health permissions through iOS settings at any time.

Third-party services

WalkHero relies on service providers that process limited information under their own terms and privacy policies:

• RevenueCat for subscriptions and purchase entitlements.
• PostHog for product analytics and diagnostics.
• Singular for advertising attribution and campaign measurement.
• Apple for Apple Health permissions, App Tracking Transparency and App Store purchases.

Retention and deletion

Apple Health data is read as needed and is not stored on our servers. Goals, preferences and recorded-walk history remain on your device until you delete the app or clear the relevant local data. Analytics, attribution and purchase records are retained according to the applicable provider’s settings and legal obligations.

Your choices

• Manage Apple Health and location permissions in iOS settings.
• Allow or deny tracking through App Tracking Transparency and change that choice in iOS settings.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Contact us with questions or requests relating to information associated with your support correspondence.

Children

WalkHero is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as WalkHero or its service providers change. We will publish the updated policy and revise the date above.
